You know those times in youth ministry when you have at least a handful of teens who want to go deeper, or group of students who are curious about the Bible? If you haven’t had those times, you will. Teens are always hungrier than we think…both spiritually, and of course, physically.
In fact, this spiritual hunger is a gift and offers youth workers a critical window of opportunity into the spiritual formation of our teens. We just need to be sure we take full advantage of the window. It might even approach the level of unpardonable sin to have students move through our youth ministries without tapping into ALL of that hunger. Business folks have a phrase for that: “It’s like leaving money on the table.”
We’ve made some critical additions to InWord’s materials to help youth workers have every tool available to feed the hunger of their teens. InWord has been creating small-group inductive Bible studies for a long time and we’ve had the humble privilege of working with thousands of churches over the years, helping youth workers and teens engage in Scripture in a meaningful way. Not long ago we took a critical look at our materials and realized that they could be even better if we did a little tweaking and offered some extra features.
So, we began a thorough renovation project, not only giving the content a good scrubbing but also adding multiple age-appropriate guides to every session. This renovation was so extensive we gave it its own name: InWord 2.0. And the 2.0 doesn’t just represent a second generation of InWord, it also represents the two big things that now come with every InWord study.
BIG THING ONE:
A personal study for the leader—this is the backbone of all of InWord’s materials and it’s the feature that’s put InWord on the map. The Prep It book gives leaders opportunity to OWN the material, to have those persnoal Holy Wow moments and deep convictions with Scripture before leading the session with students. This book comes in digital or physical book format, or both.
BIG THING TWO:
“Big Thing Two” is quite simply, options. After you’ve done your personal prep as the leader, you then go online to choose your session guide based on the age and setting of your group: You can choose from middle school, high school, college age, coffee house (meeting with a group of students at Starbucks). You can also download a social media guide to give support to your tweets, posts, and texts throughout the study series.
There is nothing like this in youth ministry and we want everyone to know about it. To help you explore this big cool thing we’re offering several tools:
- Free session to give you a chance to kick the tires of InWord 2.0
- Discount on our newest study in the 2.0 line
- A great price on a digital bundle of several 2.0 studies
You can find these tools, as well as a link to the InWord 2.0 studies, here.
I would count it a privilege to come alongside you in your youth ministry, to help you be ready for those teens who are ready to go deeper.
