Abolition minister Henry Ward Beecher is quoted as saying:
Every man should be born again on the first day of January. Start with a fresh page.
It makes complete sense, too, that the most popular image used to depict the new year is a baby. Perhaps you can use this new year as an opportunity to explore with your students the new creation that the gospel message makes of all of us. It’s a transformation so thorough that Jesus spoke of salvation as a process of having a whole new birth, not too different than moving into a whole new year.
Use this free small-group Bible study session as an opportunity to leverage the new year atmosphere for solid spiritual growth—growth that comes from exploring the new creation that we all become.
