Description
Inner Venture 2014
God’s Word. We know it’s important. We know teens (and the church) need to be better equipped in handling God’s Word. But with the many obstacles to overcome (i.e., busyness of families and ministries, tiredness of teens) it’s easy for meaningful Bible study to languish at the bottom of a packed youth ministry agenda. It doesn’t have to be that way.
How To Use
Use this exercise as:
- A rallying point to draw your students’ attention to the importance of God’s Word in our lives.
- A “stake in the ground” moment to ramp up the role of God’s Word in the life of your youth ministry.
- A kickoff session for a Bible study series.
You can use it in the form of:
- A devotional exercise or small-group Bible study; timeframe: 45-60 minutes.
- Background study for a talk.
- A solitude exercise in a retreat setting.
Personal Prep
InWord is committed to helping leaders disciple out of their personal “holy wow” moments. But unlike other InWord resources, this exercise does not include a “personal prep” for the leader. Because the best teaching and discipleship come out of the overflow of the teacher/discipler, we encourage you to do Inner Venture as a personal study before leading teens.
Reproduce
You’ll find a student page in the PDF that you can reproduce for your students.
