Description

FREE Coaching Session!

As part of InWord 2.0, this study comes with a free 20-minute coaching session via video chat or phone. Be sure to indicate above your preferred method for us to use in contacting you to schedule the session. You’ll enter the contact information as you check out. We will be in touch to schedule the coaching after we receive your order.

The Bible. Sin. Salvation. Redemption. The Holy Spirit. Sharing our faith. In every session students will take a fresh look at each of these basics in a way that will energize their faith. This Bible study is beneficial for new Christians as well as “churched kids” who need a refresher on why we believe what we believe.

A feature of the Faith Basics study is its unique review tool, the Faith Chain Review. At the close of each week’s session students will receive a Faith Chain item (“link”) that represents the particular basic studied that week (e.g., a fishing lure and sinker to represent “sin”). Over the course of the study, students will build a Faith Chain that will serve as a reminder of these six basics of the faith. See inside for more details.

 Testimonials:

“Because this study was so interesting the number of attendees grew from 5 the first week to over 15 in three weeks!  Faith Basics has really kept everyone interested and opened the eyes of each of us.  I know it has worked wonderfully for my youth group.” Chari, youth worker, O’Fallen, IL

“Great study!” Brad, youth worker, Chambersburg, PA

“I loved the leader prep pages. Life can get so busy, it’s nice to have some prep time just for me. Faith Basics prompted some wonderful discussions and it brought a group of kids together that normally might not hang out together.” Angie, youth worker, Canton, SD

Additional information

Physical (book) and/or Download (PDF)

You can order a book, or a PDF, or both. It’s all according to your and your leaders’ preferences. You’ll need a book or a PDF for each study group. Each option has its pros and cons. One note: if you order a physical book you can still download the student pages for reproducing (you’ll find a password in the book for access to these pages).

Physical (book)

Leaders need one book per group. Student pages are reproducible and still downloadable (you’ll find a password in the book for access to these pages). Pros: It’s already printed out for you and ready to go. This is probably the best set up for personal study. You don’t need access to an electronic device. Cons: It’s obviously a little more costly and keeping track of a book may be less convenient than keeping track of a PDF.

Download (PDF)

Leaders have permission to use one download per group. For example, if you have four groups involved in a study, we ask that you purchase four “downloads.” Student pages are reproducible. Pros: It’s obviously less costly and more portable; depending on how your personal computing is set up, a pdf can be “cloud” based. Cons: Typing your thoughts/notes into a PDF can be a bit clunky and more difficult to use in leading your session.

Online Session Guide Options

Once you’ve completed your personal prep it’s time to choose the online session guide that best fits your setting: middle school, high school, college age, coffee house. You’ll find password access and details on the session guides in the instructions of your Leader Prep book.

Social Media

Yes, we’ve got posts! Each session comes with 3-5 tweets or posts you can use as follow up touches throughout the week. You’ll find your social media guide for each session with the other online session guides.
