InWord and Giving Tuesday

These are interesting times. Our nation is reeling from cultural clashes. The world is reeling from geo-political clashes. The centuries-old clash over the Promised Land has risen to the fore once again. It is tempting to get drawn into the spiritual and biblical debates that come with these clashes. But to do so is to lose sight of the purpose of Scripture—to lead us to the place of true personal power and strength: Jesus. In the John 5 passage above Jesus was speaking to the most learned religious leaders of the day. They knew the Scriptures, but they missed the point.

InWord’s purpose is not to influence political or cultural debate, but to help believers engage in Scripture to navigate the difficulties of a fallen world: to find peace while waiting on scan results, to find hope when those results are not what’s desired, to bring calm to anxious work environments, to bring sacrificial living into our relationships, to encourage the church to be the safe place and spiritual outpost that God calls it to be, to inspire believers to explore spiritual giftedness and God’s call on their lives, to encourage a lifestyle that makes the gospel attractive.

Organized as a non-profit when founded in 1996, InWord relies on the faithful giving of those who have a heart for InWord’s work. While the sale of materials helps cover some of InWord’s costs, it doesn’t cover near what it takes to sustain InWord’s work. For that we rely on generous giving from gracious hearts.  We’d like to invite you to explore InWord to see if InWord might be something you or your church would want to support. Thank you!
