Thank you for being a part of this journey to lean into such a weird time as this, to listen, to feel, to hear what God is saying. Thank you for accepting the invitation to redeem this weird time that we find ourselves in, to build a dependence on God’s Word that would have otherwise not happened. This is my humble offering: Sharing the journey, through some gentle exercises, that transformed me (quite miraculously I might add) from being a casual reader of Scripture to a craver of seeing and hearing what God wants to speak into my life, experiencing the Bible as the love letter that it is.
Here, then, is Gentle Exercise 2, which is a look into what God says about how He wants us to interact with His Word. Tucked into the nooks and crannies of the Bible are clues on how to actually take it all in. As you discover these clues, it becomes apparent that God breathed His Word to us in a way that asks for a posture of expectancy, an anticipation that the next word, or phrase, or paragraph, might just change our lives. God does not want us to miss a drop.
Prayers!
P.S. You’ll see a “companion document” below. Don’t even think about looking at that document until after you’ve done Gentle Exercise 2: The Word on Engagement. (And apologies for the not-so-gentle exhortation.)
